Why it exists
Choosing a document management system usually starts with vendor marketing and ends with a sales call. This site compares vendors on what they actually publish – with a source for every value – and ranks them by the criteria a company really has.
At the same time, e-invoicing in Europe is being introduced country by country, in phases, with thresholds, formats and channels that differ everywhere. The e-invoicing tracker puts every obligation on one timeline, with the official source and the day we last checked it – because a DMS has to receive, process and archive exactly these invoices.
Who runs it
documentmanagement.systems is run by Christoph Weingärtner Unternehmensberatung, Kirchheim unter Teck, Germany (see the legal notice). The vendor data sheets are shared with the German-language comparison dokumentenmanagement.systems, run by the same team.
How it is financed
The DMS finder, the vendor data sheets, the tracker, the readiness check and the calendar are free. In future, providers may pay for introductions to companies that ask for help in the readiness check – only with that company's consent and only to providers that cover its countries. Providers cannot influence dates, wording or the order of anything on the site.
How we work
The method is public: how we verify a date. Every change to an e-invoicing date or rule is logged on What changed. If you spot an error, write to chris@documentmanagement.systems with the source, and we correct it after checking.
